White Cap was in need of an efficient means to communicate with their customers and designers who supplied artwork. Their current process was manual and slow, and it relied on the mail system to send specifications and finished artwork back and forth. There was no way to track the progress of designs and no means to consistently notify all parties that a design had been approved. Time and money were wasted due to a lack of control over the business process.

The Success Story:
After analyzing and documenting the business requirements, AD/S consultants began piecing together a design that would remove the time lags and communication issues that caused delays in the past. The focus of the new system is to centrally control the flow of information and automate tasks to keep the progress rolling.
AD/S implemented a Workflow Automation solution that simplifies and standardizes how cap artwork is developed.
This Internet application provides an interface for internal and external users to communicate and exchange information. Artwork templates can be uploaded to and downloaded from a secured, centralized database server. The customer can review the status of their design and view and approve the finished artwork, all from their customized home page within White Cap’s Intranet. Email notification of status changes and updates keep everyone informed.
With Workflow Automation, White Cap now has a reliable, efficient system that involves their customers every step of the way. Not only has the new system streamlined the artwork approval process by bringing people and business together, it has also saved White Cap real time and money. Development time has been substantially reduced, manufacturing can begin sooner and shipping costs have been eliminated.
